Located at a distance of 40 km south of Chittorgarh, Bijaipur is
worth visiting because of its historical relevance, a few
picturesque sites, and many excursion destinations that you can
access from here. Bijaipur has been ruled by many famous
dynasties of ancient India. The strategic location of the place
made it an important base point during the war between the
Mughals and the Rajputs. The picturesque small village now

Bassi

Bassi is a small village situated on the route to Bundi.
You can visit the historical fort, the Hindu temples and
the Kund. The Bassi wildlife sanctuary houses panthers,
wild boars, antelopes, mongoose and migratory birds.

Chittorgarh

Founded in the 8th century by Bapu Rawal, Chittorgarh is
one of the oldest cities in Rajasthan. The city is
dominated by its fort where most of the attractions are
located. The Padal Pol, Hanuman Pol, Rana Kumbha’s Palace,
Rana Ratan Singh’s Palace, Fateh Prakash Palace, and Vijay
Stambha are some of the interesting sites to visit in

Menal

About 48 km from Bundi, on the Bundi-Chittorgarh road lies
Menal, the coldest town in the area. The town is famous
for its ancient Shiva temples. You can also have a look at
the picturesque waterfall, if you happen to visit the
place after a good monsoon. Dense forests greet you on the
Bundi-Chittor road. |
