This unique round trip includes all the attractions of a Himalaya motorbike tour. After the obligatory warm up at Nagar/Manali, the tour takes off on a small country road up to the forests around the 3400 m high Jalorie pass and down into the mighty Sutlej valley, a downhill ride of over 2000m altitude. Follow the rapid river upstream, coming 30 km close to the Tibetan/Chinese border. Pass through areas strictly forbidden for foreigners till 1993 with a special travel permit.
          Feast on the incredibly dry and meager high valleys of Spiti and Chandra, a terrain, which is aeons away from civilization, and where travelers are a rare commodity. Endless timber forests and inhospitable stone deserts, convents and palaces, temples and lonely hamlets, snow covered 7000 m high peaks and eternal glaciers offer the perfect mountain experience for the biking enthusiast!
         The sturdy Enfield motorcycles prove their true scrambler character on this tour. Experienced road captains provide ample instruction for the adventurous biker who wants a thrilling 'off road feeling' on these tours.

Itinery:

         Since the character of our Bike and Jeep Tours is similar to expeditions, only the outer frame of the itinerary, that is, the dates of arrival and departure, can be exactly fixed. Due to our concept of touring with our own road and camp crew, we are almost independent and largely flexible, prepared to manage unpredictable storms, landslides and other natural calamities, which can force us to change our itineraries often.

Fees for the visa (India: 40 US $ for 180 days, Nepal: 25 US$ for 60 days) and the Airport tax on departure (in India and Nepal approx. 16 US $),
Travel insurance (a must, strongly recommended!) with accident, recovery, health and luggage insurance.
Beer and booze, mineral water, lunches and snacks, tips, private phone charges and shopping.
Personal touring equipment (bike suit, helmet, backpack and torch) in the Himalayas and in Nepal, also personal sleeping bags. Simple ground mats are provided.
