Day 01
On arrival at Kochi International Airport you will be taken to your accommodation in Kumarakom, a charming resort on the backwaters of Kerala overlooking the eastern shore of Vembanad Lake. In the early evening you can enjoy a soothing massage (optional) before meeting up with the rest of your tour party to watch a traditional cultural show. Overnight at the resort.
Day 02
After breakfast and a short visit to the nearby Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary you will board a houseboat, your transport for the day and your accommodation for the night. After enjoying a traditional lunch on the deck, you will be taken on a scenic cruise towards Alleppey. As you proceed at a leisurely pace, your English-speaking crew will be on hand to answer your questions and to point out interesting features on the landscape. During the afternoon you can, if you wish, try your hand at backwater fishing.
Day 03 to 05
After breakfast aboard the houseboat you will be taken, by road, to the Marari Beach Resort in Mararikulam. The next three days are yours to spend at leisure enjoying the beautiful sunshine, beaches and crystal blue waters for which Mararikulam is so well known. In the evenings, round off a wonderfully relaxing day with a delicious seafood dinner and a cultural show before retiring to your cottage-style accommodation for a good night's rest.
Day 06
Transfer to Kochi International Airport for your onward flight.
