The route is open throughout the year, through in winters it is quite cold. For summer a round trek is possible from Hanuman Chatti to Uttarkashi via Dodi Tal.

Itinery:

Dodi Tal is situated at an elevation of 3024 M, north of Uttarkashi and is surrounded by dense woods of Oak, Pine, Deodhar and Rhododendrons. The crystal clear lake is full of rare fishes and the Himalayan Golden Trouts. The trek to Dodi Tal commences from Uttarkashi to Kalyani and is approachable by road. Kalyani to Agoda is a gradual climb through woods, fields and villages on a mute trek. The trek from Agoda to Dodi Tal is steep and through thick forests.
 

155 kms. Drive to Uttarkashi from Rishikesh overnight in Uttarkashi.

17 kms. Drive to Kalyani. Further 6 kms. Trek to Agoda with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in tents.

16 kms. Trek to Dodi Tal with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in tents.

16 kms. Trek to Sima with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in tent.

18 kms. Trek to Hanuman Chatti with packed lunch Hanuman Chatti.

Homekund to Sutola … 18 kms.

14 kms. Trek to Yamunotri with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in Yamunotri.

14 kms. Trek back to Hanuman Chatti with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight in Hanuman Chatti.

212 kms. Drive to Rishikesh via Mussoorie. Lunch enroute. Arrival Rishikesh. Tour concludes.
