The Lahaul valley is situated to the north of Kullu from where it is most easily entered by crossing the Rohtang Pass. The southern boundary is marked by the Pir Panjal Range, and the northern by the Great Himalayan range. Hamta Pass is a popular excursion and a traditional alternative to Rohtang Pass in days before a road was made over the latter. The high altitude lake is an emerald disc of clear water about 3 km long and 1 km wide, and offers the spectacular view of Mulkila and the extensive Samudar Tapu Glacier. Just ahead of Chandra Tal is Kunzum Pass (4551m) which divides the Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himanchal Pradesh.

Departure from Delhi at 1900 hrs by vehicle.

Arrival at Manali in the morning by 0900 hours. Check-in at Whispering Rocks Resort. Breakfast, briefing, free time. Visit to Hidimba Temple and Manali town visit.

Departure by vehicle to Prini 4 km (2100 m) and 10 km trek to Panduropa (2075 m). Night stay in tents.

Trek to Chikka 10 km (3520 m). Night stay in tents.

Trek over Hamta Pass (4270 m) to Sheragaru 12 km (3000m). Night stay in tents.

Trek from Sheragaru to Chhatru (3360m) 7 km. Night stay in tents.

Chatru to Chandratal by vehicle (42 km). Night halt at Chandratal (4270m) Night stay in tents.

Chandratal to Manali by vehicle (175 km) over Kunzum La (4551m), and Rohtang Pass (3980m) Manali. Check-in at Whispering Rocks Resort.

Day visit to Manali town, shopping and free time. Departure to Delhi at 1500 hrs.

Arrival at Delhi in the morning by 0700 hrs.

 Transport: Delhi to Manali and back by Non AC Deluxe bus

		There is only 4 days trekking. Rest is by Jeeps from Manali to Manali.
		Includes: Boarding and lodging Delhi to Delhi.
