Manali to Chhika (2,960 meters) 13 km.

Chhika to Chhatru (3,740 meters) 16 km As one approaches the Hamta Pass, rocks and boulders slope done from the flanks in magnificent sweeps. Over the pass, the route descends rapidly down to Chhatru where a grassy meadow above the Chandra River offers a good camping place. The Rest House is located here.

Chhatru to Chhota Dara (3,740 meters) 16 km. Rest house available.

Chhota Dara to Batal (3,960 meters) 16 km Batal is situated at the foot of Kunzum pass which provides the main approach to Spiti from Lahaul. On the way is Bara Shigri glacier. The view of the Shigri is an unforgettable sight. A hut is located here.

Batal to Chandratal (4,270 meters) 18 km Chandratal (The Moon Lake) is of exquisite beauty between a lower ridge and the main Kunzum range, the outlet being into the Chandra River.

Chandratal to Topko Yongma (4,320 meters) 12 km. Topko means river in Tibetan, Yongma means lower and Gongma means upper.

Topko Yongma to Topko Gongma (4,640 meters) 11 km.

Topko Gongma to Baralacha 10 km The pass is 8km long. Baralacha means "Pass with cross-roads on summit" (roads from Zanskar, Ladakh, Spiti and Lahul meet on the top of the pass).

Baralacha to Patseo (3,820 meters) 19 km. Rest house is also available.

Patseo to Jispa (3,320 meters) 14 km. Rest House available.

Jispa to Keylong (3,340 meters) 21km.

Keylong to Manali by Bus/Jeep.
