Manali
to Chhika (2,960 meters) 13 km Chhika is situated at 3,000 meters.
Campsite is located on the Right Bank of Nallah (Hamta Nallah). |

Chhika
to Hamta (4,268 meters) 10 km Pass is open from May to September,
and from this point one gets a beautiful view of Deo Tibba and
Indrasan and peak of Central Lahaul. After remaining at Hamta one
has to retreat to 3,400 meters. |

Hamta
to Sarotu 12 km The camping ground is a grazing place. On the way
one can see the famous caves of Wangdwar. |

Sarotu
to Bhanara 6 km Bhanara is situated at 2,300 meters and there is
an old temple of local gods and remnants of forts of Raja Piti, an
earlier ruler of Kullu. Near Bhanara there is another historic
cave (Arjun Gufa) where the Pandavas are believed to have taken
refuge during their exile. From Bhanara one can get down to
Jagatsukh or to Preni and get transport to Manali the next day. |
