Naggar, 21km from Manali. Delightfully situated on a wooden slope
and commanding an extensive view of the valley, it is famous for

to Chandrakhani (3,500 meters) 8km The Legend says that thousands
of years ago, Jamlu (presiding deity of Malana) was carrying a
basket containing gods of Kullu. On the top of the pass when he
opened the casket, a very strong wind blew the gods all over Kullu
valley to their present abodes. Since then the valley is known as
"the valley of gods". Here one can chance upon a string view of
Deo Tibba that overlooks the Malana glen and other snow crowned
giants on the Spiti border. |

Chandrakhani to Malana (2,651.7 meters) 7km Malana comprises two
villages about a hundred yards apart containing temple buildings
and is considered sacred and no one wearing leather shoes is
allowed within its precincts. |

place. Kasol to Jari is motorable. It is located on Manikaran -
Bhuntar road. Jari to Bhuntar (900 meters)is also motorable.The12
km confluence of the Beas and Parvati, is a heavy volume of laden
gray water. Above on a projecting bluff is the site of the most
striking temple - Bijli Mahadev. |
