Mukteshwar at an altitude of 2286
m, is the prettiest Himalayan resort at a distance of about 53 km
from Nainital as we move ahead from Ramgarh. Surrounded by, fruit
orchards and thick coniferous forests it was developed by the
Britishers as the only place of research and education in
veterinary since in 1893. The famous India Veterinary Research
Institute is also situated here. |
