Bageshwar is an important pilgrimage centre of the Kumaon. The
Himalayas is also the base for popular trekking routes. The trek
to Pindari Glacier is 3 kms long and 0.25 kms broad and is
connected to the southwestern slope of the outer wall of the Nanda
Devi Sanctuary. |

Bageshwar - Song - Loharkhet (5,750 ft) 40 kms by bus to Song. A 5
kms trek to Loharkhet. Overnight stay at Loharkhet. |

Loharkhet - Khati (2210 mts.) A 19 kms trek. Khati is the biggest
village enroute Pindari. The trek to Khati descends down to Umla
village (4 kms). Khati village lies at the confluence of Pindari
and Sundardhunga rivers. Overnight stay at Khati. |

Khati-Phurkia (3260 mts) A 16 kms trek. At Phurkia, the tree line
gives way to alpine pastures and shepherds can be seen guiding
their large flock across grassy uplands. Overnight stay at Phurkia. |

Phurkia-Zero point-Dwali (2575 mts.) An 18 kms trek. See the view
of Pindari Glacier from zero point measuring 3 kms in length and
0.25 kms in breadth. It owes its existence to the vast quantities
of snow precipitated from Nanda Devi and other lofty summits of
the Greater Himalayan range. It takes its name from the Pindar
River, which originates in the trail pass above the glacier.

Dwali-Dhakuri (2690 mts.) 19 kms trek. Dhakuri - Binjak ridge
offers a view of the snow-clad Nandakot summit (6806 M) to the
east of Maktoli (6804 M) to the west. Overnight stay at Bageshwar. |

|
|
|
 
Dhakuri-Bageshwar (56 kms). 16 kms trek to Song and 40 kms by bus
to Bageshwar. Overnight stay at TRH Bageshwar. Bageshwar - Delhi
(467 kms). After breakfast departure to Delhi. |
