At 2290 M. Munsiyari is on the arterial water body of the Goriganga, which emerges from the Milam glacier system of the eastern flanks of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, fed also by the Kalabandar glacier and the Panchchuli from further east. The Milam glacier snout at 3872 M is the nodal point for a variety of high-grade routes and peaks.

Munsiyari - Lilam (1852 mts) 15 kms trek. A walk along the Gori River with Paton and Bhuj villages on the left banks, one reaches the villages of Lilam. Overnight in tents.

Lilam - Bogudiyar (2450 mts.) 12 kms trek. In the thick forest of Uttes, the Ralam rivulet meets the Gori Ganga. After a steep uphill climb one reaches Bogudiyar, where the Poting rivulet meets Gori river. Overnight in tents.

Bogudiyar - Rilkot (3200 mts) 12 Kms. Enroute one can divert to the Laspa village and further to northern glacier of Nandakot Rilkot village situated above the river and one can visit ruins of old Rilkot. Overnight in tents on the river beach.

Rilkot - Milam Village 15 kms. (3434 mts.) One gets the view of Martoli peak soon after Rilkot and after crossing the bridge at Burfu. The trek is on the left bank of the Gori River and views include that of Longstaff Co, The Eastern and main peaks of Nanda Devi, the Northern wall of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary and the Har Deval peak. Overnight in tents.

Milam Village-Milam Glacier-Milam Village 16 kms. A 5 kms trek brings one to the Milam Glacier with various glaciers feeding the main one from different valleys. Overnight stay in tents at Milam Village.

Milam Village-Rilkot (3200 mts) 20 kms.

Rilkot-Bugudiar (2450 mts.) 12 kms.trek.

Bugudiar-Lilan (1850 mts.) 16 kms.

Lilam-Munsiyari (2290 mts.) Munsiyari-Pithoragarh (by bus 154 kms.)
