Manali-Darcha by bus/coach via Rohtang pass, Keylong (total distance 145 km). Overnight in camp.

Darcha-Pilamo (8-km trek).

Pilamo-Jankar Samdo (14-km trek).

Jankar Samdo-Chumik Nakpo (15-km trek).

Chumik Nakpo-Pankhaay (18-km trek). On this trek, you have to first cross Shangola (5,100 metres).

Pankhay-Karga (20-km trek).

Karga-Yal (21-km trek) enroute Shing, Tangtse, Kuru villages.

Yak-Surla (23 km trek) (Visit Phuktal Gompa)

Surla-Raru (20-km trek)
(Enroute Ichar and Nyuru villages)

Raru-Bardan Gompa (19-km trek) enroute Mone village.

Bardan Gompa-Sani (20-km trek) enroute visit Padam village - capital of Zanskar.

Sani-Karcha (six hour's-17 km easy walk) After crossing the river Zanskar at Tungri bridge. Camp near Dezong / Youland village, 1 Km short of Karcha village.

Karcha-Pishu (six hour's- 22 km easy walk) Zangla can be visited from renam village enroute. Camp near Pishu village down on the bank of Zanskar River.

Free day (visit Zangla-Old capital of Zanskar).

Pishu-Hanamul (Four hour's -16 km easy walk) Passing through Pigmo village, consisting only two houses.

Hanamul-Nytse After crossings 2nd pass, Parfi - La (4,800 meters), cross bridge and camp near the stream. Nytse village is not a permanent village.

Nytse - Linshad (13 km trek) After crossing 3rd pass, Hanamu - La (4,877 M0, camp near the village Linshad.

Linshad-base Singy-la (seven hour-22 km trek) On this trek two passes Natukai - La (4,200 meter's) and Kubala (3,800 meter's) are to be crossed before reaching at the base of Singh - La.

Base of Singy - La - Photoksar (7 hour's - 16 km trek) After crossing 6th pass, Singh - La (5,060 meter's), you have to cross 7th small pass Boumitse - La (4,400 M) on this trek route before reaching Photoksar. Camp across the village.

Rest at Photoksar.

Photoksar - Somdo (7 hour's-19 km trek) Starting early in the morning and crossing 8th pass, Sirsir - La (4,990 meter's), passing through a bridge, crossing a stream, cross 9th pass Gyaplo - La (3900 meter's), Somdo is reached.

Somdo-Shilla (five hour's - 14 km trek) Today again start early in the morning as you have to cross the river about 32 times before reaching Shilla.

Shilla-Lamayuru. It is last day of trekking on this trek route. After crossing 10th pass, Prinintiti - La (3,400 meter's) It takes 2 1/2 hours to reach Lamayuru. Visit monasteries and drive (124 km) to Leh or (106 km) for Kargil.
