Day 1
Sun Anaheim at Leisure
On your
arrival at Los Angeles Airport you are transferred by shuttle
service to your tour hotel in Anaheim. Tonight, join your Tour
Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Drink.
Day 2
Mon Anaheim at Leisure
Today is
at leisure, why not visit Walt Disney's Disneyland Park or
California Adventure Park, and conclude the day with a visit
to Downtown Disney for dining and shopping?
Day 3
Tue Anaheim at Leisure
Today,
why not discover the secrets of movie-making on an optional
full day excursion to Universal Studios Hollywood?
Day 4
Wed Anaheim Santa Maria
This
morning we see Sunset Boulevard, Rodeo Drive, the 'Walk of
Fame' and famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Then
we travel towards the Pacific Coast where we stop in Santa
Barbara, before continuing to the delightfully Danish town of
Solvang. Our overnight stop is Santa Maria.
Day 5
Thu Santa Maria San Francisco
Today we
visit Carmel with time to browse. Then we journey along 17
Mile Drive with spectacular coastal views. On through Monterey
to San Francisco. Tonight, why not join an optional walking
tour and dinner in Chinatown?
Day 6
Fri San Francisco Sightseeing
We start
the day with a tour of the 'City by the Bay'. We visit
Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, Union Square and
Ghiradelli Square. We also take in the sights from Twin Peaks
viewpoint. Then we enjoy a cruise across the Bay to Alcatraz
for our walking tour with audio narration.
Day 7
Sat San Francisco Mammoth Lakes (or Fresno*)
Today we
head across the Central Valley to the Sierra Nevada mountains.
This afternoon we visit Yosemite National Park and tour the
valley floor, with views of El Capitan and Half Dome, as well
as Yosemite Falls (in season). Then we cross the Tioga Pass
(3000 m) en route to Mammoth Lakes.
Day 8
Sun Mammoth Lakes (or Fresno*) Las Vegas
We leave
the mountain country behind and cross the desert of Southern
California to exciting Las Vegas. Two nights and an entire
full day to explore and play! This evening, perhaps join our
optional tour of Las Vegas by Night?
Day 9
Mon Las Vegas at Leisure
The day
is free to spend time by the pool, at the tables, with the
one-armed bandits or shopping. Optional excursions will be
available (how about a helicopter flight to the Grand Canyon?)
And don't forget about the world-famous shows!
Day 10
Tue Las Vegas Departure
Our West
Coast Highlights tour ends today at check-out time from the
hotel. Please make your own way to the airport.
